Water is the most destructive thing that can hit a floor — and the clock starts the moment it appears. Within hours, moisture wicks into subfloors, swells laminate, lifts tile, and creates the damp conditions mold needs to grow. Our emergency crews arrive fast, find the source, and begin professional water extraction and drying right away to save as much of your existing floor as possible.
What we do on a water emergency
From the minute we arrive, our priority is to stop the damage from spreading and stabilize your home:
- Source control & safety check — we stop the water at its source and check for electrical and slip hazards.
- Rapid water extraction — truck-mounted and portable extractors pull standing water from floors and crevices.
- Structural drying — commercial air movers and dehumidifiers dry subfloors, joists, and wall bases to target moisture levels.
- Moisture mapping — meters and thermal imaging find hidden moisture you can't see.
- Mold prevention — antimicrobial treatment of affected areas to stop mold before it starts.
- Repair & restoration — damaged boards, planks, or tile replaced and finished to match.
Floors we restore after water damage
Different floors react to water very differently. We know how to triage each one — and when fast action can save it rather than replace it:
- Hardwood & engineered wood — fast extraction and controlled drying can prevent cupping and crowning.
- Laminate — highly vulnerable to swelling; we assess what's salvageable and replace the rest.
- Tile & stone — usually survives, but we check for trapped moisture and loose tiles below.
- Vinyl & LVP — we lift, dry the subfloor, and re-lay or replace as needed.
- Carpet over subfloor — we dry or remove and rebuild the affected subfloor.
Why speed matters
Insurance and restoration data is clear: the first 24–48 hours decide whether a floor is dried and saved or torn out and replaced. The faster water is removed and the structure dried, the lower the cost and the smaller the disruption to your home. That's why we dispatch around the clock — there is no good time to wait on water damage.
We work with your insurance
Most water-damage flooring claims are covered by homeowners insurance. We document everything to industry standards — photos, moisture readings, and itemized scope — and coordinate directly with your adjuster so your claim moves smoothly while we get your home back to normal.
